Ac.Milan has recently been experiencing a downhill ride which has seen the Italian club going from to the top spots of the Serie A into the middle section as the team was not able to secure a European position in this past season.
The financial situation with the club located at San Siro is so abysmal that a new owner is expected to arrive and take over the football club which has been struggling so much in recent times.
Silvio Berlusconi is the owner of Ac.Milan but fans of the club want to see someone else take charge of the institution as Berlusconi hasn’t injected cash or even attention to what needs to be done in order to transform Ac.Milan into the title winning team that they used to be a few years ago.
The Thai businessman Bee Taechaubol is interested in purchasing Ac.Milan but negotiations are still underway and nothing official has been made to the public as these kinds of discussions can take a substantially long period of time.
Since 2014, Ac.Milan has had 4 different managers taking charge of the team. Massimiliano Allegri, Mauro Tassotti, Clarence Seedorf, Filippo Inzaghi and the recently appointed Sinisa Mihajlovic.
This large amount of managers who have arrived and left Ac.Milan is a clear indicator of the situation that the Italian club is going through as every single coach who joins the team has failed to reignite the spark that appears to have been lost since the past few years.
The managerial situation at Ac.Milan is not the only thing that has seriously affected the club and their recent downhill path of disappointing results, one other factor which has damaged the team is the system that they have developed involving selling their best players and not being able to properly replace those players.
Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were offloaded from Ac.Milan and sold to PSG on July of 2012. Both of these players at that time were considered to be some of the best in the world and just by taking a look at how they are performing in the French club Paris Saint-Germain, it’s easy to see why more than €80 million was spent in signing both.
Fans of Ac.Milan were not happy to see Ibrahimovic and Silva being sold as both of those players at that time had turned into the main leaders on the pitch. The Brazilian player, Thiago Silva was the captain and easily the best defender in the entire team, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the main attacking outlet. When they left, it created a gap that has not been filled.
The cash injection of €80 million that Ac.Milan received has not been utilized to reinforce the squad.
On June 16 of the current year, Sinisa Mihajlovic was appointed as the new coach of Ac.Milan but signing a new manager isn’t going to resolve the problems that the Italian club has been experiencing in the past few years.
Silvio Berlusconi just isn’t willing to spend cash in the way that he used to some time ago and supporters of the club want to see a new businessman take over, someone who is willing to spend big and hopefully restore the glory days of Ac.Milan.
